2014 Sewing and Stitchery Expo

I enjoy seeing and meeting sewing enthusiasts from ALL OVER THE WORLD when I travel to sewing shows and events. You have NO IDEA how many people work all year long to put on these fabulous sewing events. And it's time to mark your calendar for the 2014 Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, Washington. The dates are February 27 and 28, March 1 and 2.

IT IS ALWAYS A BLAST!  The biggest consumer sewing show in America -- and they will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary in 2014. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can find out what will be happening at the show.  To give you an idea of HOW MUCH FUN IT IS -- here are some pictures from last year's show....

Janome Institute - Part III Final

To wrap up Janome Institute, here are a few favorite pics from the floor......
Paula B, Jenny Haskins
Using the NEW Janome Memory Craft 15000
Paula is using the new Floriani Micro Thread.  Wow!  The thread is sooo fine.  She uses a SCHMETZ Universal 60/8.  The stitches are impeccable!

And finally, I just have to add this pic of a pic ......

Me!
Wearing a Sandra Betzina Vogue Pattern.

Yes, I was like a teenage girl laughing, yelling and totally amused by the Chippendale boys.  Yep, I made the top I am wore!

Thanks Janome for creating terrific machines and a strong dealer network.  I love your dealers and look forward to returning again in 3 years!

Janome Institute - Part II of III

Janome has such a wide breadth of machines.  Besides the Horizon Memory Craft 15000 top of the line . . . .

Janome Horizon Memory Craft 15000

there are adorable starter machines.  I love "Hello Kitty".  What a great way to encourage a youngster to sew!

And look at these long arms..........

I could use one of these machines right now to finish a few quilt tops.

Janome Institute Before Dealers Arrive

This is just a partial view of the Janome exhibit - before the floor was crowded with Janome dealers.
Stay tuned for one more post on Janome Institute.  I have a few terrific pics I want to share of vendors... and from a very special evening.
